InOMN
The Balch Springs Library-Learning Center will be hosting International Observe the Moon Night Oct. 8th 2011 @ 6:00pm-8:00pm. Partners in this fun and educational Moon viewing event will be speakers from Mesquite Independent School District, Texas Astronomical Society providing professional telescopes, Wal-Mart providing binoculars, InOMN providing moon viewing kit, and Friends of the Balch Springs Library-Learning Center providing MoonPies. Also, "Treasure Hunt in Earth's Attic" exhibit will be on display as well as "Moon Over Our Town". Fun for the whole family. Everything provided FREE of charge.
"Moon Over Our Town"
We need your pictures of the Moon for September & October. This is a project in conjunction with "InOMN". Send us your pictures of the Moon (night or day) and we will post them on our board in the hallway of the library. Make sure to add the date, time, and your name. You can email pictures to balchspringslibrary@gmail.com

Like an attic of ancient treasures, the Moon preserves Earth's lost history. Discover how the conditions on the Moon are providing valuable clues to our own planet's beginnings!
